Seen on the rain radar

Post by Matt Flynn »

Hint, it's not all rain ...

As I type 60km/h gusting to almost 90km/h at Bellambi near Wollongong, and 50km/h gusting to almost 70km/h at Sydney Airport.

Scott Morrison's Twitter feed has Australia's worst bushfires hardly rating a mention. The subject might be a bit awkward after his parliamentary coal caper, and now his ill-timed Hawaiian holiday.

Can't understand the upset about a bloke with a young family going on a holiday. Anyone upset about the fires should also ask themselves what they're doing personally.

100% agree with this. If there is something that he could possibly do, beggars the question of what the Deputy PM is doing. Even the opposition could be doing plenty to help the government rather than just launch criticism. Every business big and small have bosses that go on breaks when their business needs leadership.

What if his family is suffering because of the time he spends away from them, or if he needs a mental break? Is it ok to expect him to sacrifice his life because its socially acceptable to dislike politicians?

None of that stuff is rain, Matt.

beggars the question of what the Deputy PM is doing.

Not a lot of what a deputy pm should be doing. The current deputy believes his job is to sit as leader of his party and not the Aus people at a time when significant portions of the country need moral support.

He'll probably go down in history for what he hasn't done. Never put a foot wrong (because he never put a foot anywhere).

Media being the self-appointed citadel of Aus virtue again trying to manufacture news instead of reporting it.

Don't see media doing much to support those in need of it except bask in the glory of crisis. Never a good time for a PM to chill out according to them.
Regards
Ronje
