Competition in Rocky started yesterday morning.
At end of day 2 there have been 297 barra caught with a competition average size of 68cm.
5 barra of a metre or more ranging from 100cm to 119cm.
8 king threadfin of 1 metre or more ranging from 104cm to 130 cm.
79 teams of 2 fishos = 158 fishos for 297 fish (so far) = 1.9 fish per angler

Leader board took a turnaround today in that the Barra Nats winner for last 2 years (Craig Griffiths of Rocky) is no longer the leader. Been relegated to second place.
Tomorrow (a half day) will be interesting.

Ended up with 373 barra @ 1.5 tonnes;
50 king threadfin and 61 others.
Average barra length of 67cm.
7 barra from 1m to 119cm and 9 king threadfin from 1m to 130cm.
Craig Griffith got back in front for individual but team ended up in 3rd place.
There's been some strange goings-on with barra and threadies in the river of late which seems to have had an influence on outcome.

I have to ask. Are they hungry? Seems like good numbers caught for the amount of traffic around albeit a bit smaller than expected?
Anyway, a bit jealous considering the lean catches and lean fish around here at the minute.
