howard river rockbar
heading down tomorrow for a look at the h/r rockbar, what are the best tides and conditions to fish it. does it produce well with no rainfall

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we were unprepared. We planned to wait until the high but we didn't come ready for the mozzies but for sandflies instead. We ended up getting hammered by them and decided to call it. Well now I at least have a better understanding of the place and can be expected to better prepare next time

when we were there at the low we threw the castnet around in the pools all we managed to get were a couple of baby barra. do the bait push up with the tide or do i have to go to the effort of transporting livebait. we do use lures but prefer to have livies out while having a flick.

Yeah - getting mullet up there can be problematic - gotta get lucky.
