5 coats of Mahogany-red varnish. Sanded back 3 times, and finished with a clear-sealant varnish... Good enough for the bush... ;)

Well team, the new bungey-cord for the electric motor came thru yday, so we fitted it. As well as riveting the timber trim for the tops of the hull. Need a few different sized rivets for the front. N then nearly finished... yes yes......hecklers gunna heckle...

Tomorrow... the Punt cometh... I'd like to be thanking all that aided me in the birth of this potential maritime legend, or disaster....deepblack, mcminns mob, fullonchaos, flicken4em, my neighbour Clive who pilfered me the launch wheels, Jimmy from AKS welding, the guys at Promoter trailers, my good friend Michael "scratch" Scraturchio, and of course Tangels. Without any of you, I'd still be humbugging all for rides in their boat. But I still might.. ha ha. Wish Mr Tangels and I luck on the morrow, we be rolling the dice..... but we feeling lucky. ;)
