Today's Darwin Storm
The rear end of this mornings storm. Not the best pics but the first time I've caught the lightning

Great pix. Wonder where all those hundreds of strikes land. Guess there is a lot vacant land out there. Saw the storm on the radar, looked like a cracker.

Not sure yet. I'll let you know after it rains properly. I suspect the Western NT side is fairing better at the moment.

Re: Today's Darwin Storm
Running the gauntlet with storms again Saturday.
Went looking down West Arm for 2 purple tags and maybe a red tag fish on Saturday with no luck as usual. Plenty of bait around for a change though and signs of the odd Barra here and there on the run out but water @ 33deg.
Probably stayed an hour too long chasing a feed of other fish and watched the storm build over Darwin while I filleted. Didn't notice the one coming over my shoulder until the thunder cracked. Time to go...
Must of been a cracker that came over the suburbs as the wind had waves coming directly from the wharf direction to West Arm. The first time I've ever been able to travel directly from there to Dinah Beach without getting sprayed. Just caught the tail end of Darwins and enough to give the boat and us a fresh and relieving wash. Bl**dy cold pockets of air as we came through the reef though and some stinging rain at 20kph.

Just like a wet season yesterday for a change!
Storms over Charles Pt last night dropped 150mm and electric was an understatement.
