It's a good spot in the wet or after. Had a crack night time last year when she was about half a metre over the crossing and counted 5 crocs there the biggest one was stalking us as we moved around the banks.

Fished the top of the river a few ks downstream of there in the boat on monday water was 33 degrees got donuts half a dozen bull sharks.
A mans boat is a sign of his strengths and weaknesses???? (and wealth)

Update 31st December approx 09:30
Good flow of water looks very inviting but no thanks
Some lads were prepping the rooftopper on the high side whilst we were there
On the way to Litchfield for a dip at Wangi with the sooty grunters

It's been a year since I was there and guessed it at 1.2 but now realise it was a lot more.
The two big trees in your pic were down around the corner, about 25-30m from the water edge with water still rising but not sure if that was tidal influence. Bamboo rafts and logs building against the trees then cracking against their weight, shattering the silence before moving on further down the river. We hung around just to witness the first run and tried a few spots in the eddies for nil. You could still drive down to the banks at the 2 launching spots on the day.
