TrollBridge battery charging system

Post by Scotty69 »

G'day folks,
I've seen this TrollBridge battery charging system advertised around and was wondering if anyone knows much about it or any experiences good or bad. Looks like a good, simple cost effective setup.

If not, what systems are people using (besides charging when back home on 240V) particularly for extended trips.
Cheers

Doubt it is a multistage charger, it will probably either damage your batteries or at least affect their performance. Sterling Procharge is an alternative

Sounds and looks complicated.

Keep it simple.

Get a 12v to 24v DC -DC charger with multistage output. Maybe 20 A or so output. That's a lotta o/p @24V.

It'll pick up your alternator 12v output feed to the starting battery, jump it up to 24v output. Being multistage (selectable) it'll charge yr trolling batteries (they'll be proper deep cycle wont they?) the right way.

Any number of them around.
