Hello guys that's me again
I would like to setup an hydrofoil on my outboard but i don't where to buy or what brand. I have a mercury 30 hp 2 strokes. I want to setup one because the front of the boat take always time to be flat i have to put the gas and then the boat get stable but when i start to put the gas the nose always stay up and that's annoying. I hear that will help to stabilise the boat.
And my other question is what type of light do you use inside your boat when you go fishing at night. I have a led bar to see whats coming from the front but nothing on the inside to see what i'm doing, only my headlight.
Thanks in advance.

I have been looking at these

There’s a face book group and everyone seems to rave about them, and he has a money back guarantee.
But would love others thoughts on this.

Stingray and Solas both make good hydrofoils ...mine is a stingray. Ebay is probably chaper but In and Outboard or boatland winnellie may have one to suit in stock to save you waiting for it to arrive.

As a portable lighting free standing setup that I've also used for LBased or around the campsite a bit this "dogbox " (solar charging battery bank LED light ) is what I'm current using its about the size of a phone has 2 USB ports to charge your headlamp and phone batteries. It goes pretty good and I haven't run it flat yet but honestly I haven't used it that much. I bought it at NTF for under 50 bucks. But in my boat I also have a decent custom LED strip setup in a waterproof perspex lens that i connect to the deep cycle battery that runs the leccy that I have used more often for longer sessions (it'll run all night no worries ).

Keep them mounted low when u do it. Light on the water attracts plenty of sharks on the reefs. But without it permanently mounted to the tinny I can also drop my LED strip setup over the rail almost into the water to attract bulk bugs which then crash land in the drink and start a frenzy with small baitfish in the lagoons or rivers which sometimes then attracts the bigger barra but it doesn't always work that way.Other days they don't want anything to do with a lit up area and even the headlamp is enough to spook them.

You should also have another white light higher up to allow others to see you if you're at anchor having a nap and nav red green combo on the front if going all out on your lighting setup.

There are standard 'off the shelf' plastic ones around the shops for your size motor and cheap enough to chuck away if you don't like them or decide you want to spend more on a factory tin model.

I don't know of too many tin boats that won't stand up when going slow. A hydrofoil will help and are most appreciated when you back off the throttle and they stay on the plane for longer at slower speeds.

Might just be a matter of trim (if you have trim/tilt). Tackleworld have a great LED light on a suction cap, 10 bucks and runs on 3 AAAs

I had a fast tail foil on a 40 suzuki.

only used it when solo only four bolt to put on take off.

it worked quite well bolts under cav plate ...most bolt on top.

In QLD i think.......worth a thought.
