What are your favourite/most used setups for targeting pelagics, off the boat and/or landbased? Mine is a daiwa BG 4000 with 30lb braid on a 7 foot atomic arrowz 20-40lb rod. Casts chromies very well.

Silstar Crystal Blue and Okuma 40000 and 20 pound braid, casts a chromie to the next postcode.

I use 6 foot 4-6kg shimano Barra raider with shimano sustain 5000fg with 30lb j braid hasn’t let me down got mackies, tuna, queenies on it and have stopped 15kg jewies with it. Casts a mile and smooth. Other setup is silstar crystal blue 6 foot 4-8kg with Shimano Saragosa 6000 also running 30lb j braid. Cast further with the sustain though. Run a 5000 fj stradic on a 6 foot ugly stick as a spare

I am admittedly somewhat of a gear nut but here's what I'm currently using, Shimano Zodias 270M with 4000FB Ci4 Stradic with 20lb j braid for light stuff and harbour Tuna, 2 x Wilson Livefibre Venom with Saragosa 6000's spooled with 40lb depth hunter for Jigging and offshore spinning and for Stick baits and poppers I'm currently using an Nordic Stage Amped coupled with an older 5000sw Stella fitted with a 6000 spool also sporting 40lb depth hunter.

The Nordic stage is definitely my favourite rod, it goes just as well with a Saragosa 6000 on it and has accounted for a lot of quality fish.
