Tough weekend at Copeton, plenty of soul searching....we managed a couple of fish to keep the itch scratched. Great to catch up with Lats and (try to) introduce him to the fish of a thousand casts.

Oh and if you’ve been feeling the chill up there, check the guides on my rod. Without my glasses I assumed I had tied a terrible FG with a big tag. Was having trouble pulling it through the guides until it finally stopped. Each retrieve brought more water (balmy 14 degrees) on the line which gathered in the eyes until finally freezing solid.

Fun times sleeping in the swag...

:drinking5:

I loved it, even though I couldn't manage to fool a fish. Many years since I've felt cold like that. Only realized when I got home that there are no photos of me to prove that I went fishing

But I wish you told me before hand that a thousand casts were needed. I made 999
