East Arm Boat Ramp - What A Joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by simonbradford80 »

I think the title says it all!!!!
What's everyone else's thought on this particular pile of rubbish?

PS - After dealing with a very inaccurate wind forecast, managed to land half a dozen good sized Stripies and 1 Goldie this morning in the harbour.

It does get a breeze blowing in at the worse possible angle in the dry.
I havnt used it in years. Has it been put back together after the cyclone

Haven't used it in a while. Yes it is useless under 2m(ish) of water, but aren't they all? And as Mickkk mentioned the cross wind can be a problem, but then you just use the sheltered side of the ramp and it's not too bad.

I think with the wind this time of year, most boat ramps would be a challenge at some stage.

If it's a structural issue it might need an X-Ray.

Had some probs with the ramp lately launching by myself.
The ramp was damaged in the cyclone and has a large part of it missing.
Trying to retrieve on the low is hard as there is no pontoon in the water.
There was a few more sections added when i used it yesterday so it looks like it is getting worked on.
Hopefully they finnish it soon.
The wind we have had latley will have made it hard to use but that has always been the case for that ramp with a strong wind.
