Re: Frackomundi
Given the NT's track record on managing mining (dismal) then Top Enders have every reason to be worried about fracking.
Mt Todd and McArthur River mines have polluted waterways. Rum Jungle is still a problem on the Finniss (leaching), and then there is that mysterious mining road that was built right across the Limmen area during the iron ore boom. Those Limmen area mines have since closed.
Then there is the PFAS debacle in Katherine, not a mining issue, but a water table pollution issue.
Add on top of the land clearing that is happening on the catchments and you can see a recipe that might one day reach critical mass on the waterways.
There is however a lot of desert out there where fracking would be of less concern.

Re: Frackomundi
They are starting to use the haul road out to bing bong again. Well they will after substantial repairs are made to it. It is soo odd to be driving along in the middle of no where, and come across a massive hwy all of a sudden.
