Did a culvert run this morning after work, water levels have dropped but still plenty of spots for fish to hide, managed 2 small fish of about 30-40cm, hosing down again this afternoon so should top every thing up nicely!

Updated pics from todays culvert lap ...few rats getting around but no legal barra for our crew today. Still plenty of water around which was great to see.

Half your luck mate. Tried several culverts/creeks on Sunday 11th, from dawn to about 9am for nothing (Fly Creek, Old Bynoe Rd, Hopewell Rd, Cox Peninsula Rd etc).

There was lots of rain Friday night so I guess Saturday would've been the day to go, not much on Sat night so not sure if that made Sunday a dud as the water levels seemed a bit low. Only place with water over the road was on Old Bynoe Rd.

Was mainly using ZMan Minnowz (3 inch pearl) with weedless jig, 90mm Squidgy Mongrels (drop bear) & 50mm Squidgy fish (rainbow trout). Any tips on when/where/how (including which SP's to try) to fish the culverts in that area would be greatly appreciated!

& Swoffa - thanks for the PM (for some reason I can't reply). Much appreciated.

Looks like the lures youve got andybuck should get a few. Fly ck on old bynoe will fish OK in flood when its 400mm and looks level with the other side. The fish caught here can be massive as they come up from the lakes resort. Cast near the concrete pieces in the top of the pic and through the middle of the snags below the white water. But there are far better spots around there than that. Reedbeds rd and the Blackmore river tumbling waters area as well as Darwin River low level all produce good barra each year.

Good to see everyone getting out and about.

I hit the Manton dam spillway on Sunday for a couple of rats, I did lose one decent fish too....some of you may recognize the nefarious character with me.
