I throw heaps of this polystyrene out every week. Not a perfect square shape, but if you're good at playing tetris i'm sure it would work. You're welcome to check it out and grab as much as you want if you like.

Foam and Rubber shop have the good quality fuel resistant stuff

I used bean bag beads in plastic bags to fill some spaces, can be molded into tight spots, to a point.
Make sure the plastic bags are strong, or beads go everywhere ...
To be honest tho, those beads must be an environmental disaster, would be nice to hear some green options. Maybe bags full of corks
