WHERE IS THE RAIN? Any Weather experts out there?

Post by newfisherman »

I just had a quick look at the rain totals for December over the last 10 years at Darwin Airport, so its only a snap shot of the rain.

2017 is the second worst in 10 years at about 182 mm

The worst in the last 10 years for December was 111mm in 2014

The stats for all years for December at Darwin airport are:

Mean :253.5

Median : 225.8

Highest daily: 277

Novembers Rain fall at Darwin Airport was 175mm and well over the average of 142 mm and one of the better years over the last 10 years

Does a poor December rain fall mean anything?

Darwins rain fall was above average for 2017, but most of it came at the start of the year.

Is 2017/18 wet season shaping up to be another poor wet season?

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

SHhhhhh........

It's like being an 18 year old at the pub on a Friday Night.

The more you look for it and the more you expect it, the less it comes...... or happens.
