So with the reels re-spooled with new braid and freshly serviced couldn't stand it any more and headed out for a lap. I would usually have a few barra by now from the local culverts. But not this time. Bit of localised rain but the wet isn't sure what it's going to do. yet...

So pretty well expecting to get onto bugger all I loaded up and headed out for a crack at the myth of the million dollar barra.

1st stop manton dam wall..... Dry

2nd stop . Adelaide river township area near the cemetery. ... after walking over a km and trying a few different sizes and styles of lures came to the conclusion that it was Dead.

3rd effort : Douglas Daly Tourist Park

With no access to the lower areas of the river without a couple of km walk i got the gear ready and threw a couple of turkeys into the backpack.

''you can park at the toilet block but we dont want our tracks getting ruts in them '' mmm...

Bit gay. But they run it so off I went.... Reliving 3rd low range pinned sessions to get down to this spot a fair few years ago.

Well after a fair a hike i was ready for a barra. The spot looked good and even risking it all clambering over onto ''the arches'' island produced nothing. I thought I would get a few here but sadly wasn't to be with the score going something like this. 3-0 on a side note a swim on the way back and the couple of boubons from the backpack did wonders to improve the mood and I was ready for one last crack before heading home.

BTW the tracks had a couple of 100mm puddles WTF? fellas

Off to the marrakai track (freshly graded too.) Expecting to cross the Adeliade to fish the Margret junction. ... Not today fellas..I got there to see the gates wide open halfway up the posts .

Didn't even bother getting the rod out for this.

Whilst there were no fish caught today the 380km I had travelled for 0 bites were still better than doing the mowing.

The arches look a bit different with some water flowing, good to see you still had a good time even if they weren't on the chew.
