Sav Winch Issues

Post by Darwinblue »

Anyone got a SAV Winch with electric free fall and had issues? Mine refused to go down (not the first time this issue has occurred in my life but I digress....) and we replaced the breaker with a 30amp unit last week - today it worked perfectly for one drop and retrieve and then again not able to drop anchor - retrieve working fine though.....any clues?
It hasd been working perfectly for 12 months prior.

I've heard that free falling is the main issue with many winches so ive never had one. Does it drive down?

connection at the switch, look for discoloured terminals and use it and feel for heat.
