The rocket road to Nhulunbuy

Post by Matt Flynn »

Thought I heard on the radio this arvo that the Nhulunbuy space base has been approved, or is a step closer. Here's an old story ... http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/northern- ... 1509693914

If so, it means the rough old road out to Arnhem Land will soon be smooth as silk.

Is this good or bad? Depends on your perspective ...

It will open it up. it's a private company. Do they have any idea of the cost?

Would be an expensive road!

Haven't seen any online stories about this so the radio report must have been related to some small progress on the plan.

I belive it is only permission to use 275 acres .It seems strange as it is not much closer to the equator than dwn. to spend so much money. As long as us tax payers don't pay for inferstructor.

Story with an announcement of rockets to be launched by the end of 2018. Can you smell that? Smells suspiciously like political bullsh!t spin. Oh and Gunner is patting himself on the back for potentially creating 67 jobs.

The first rocket could be traditionally named "Gunnerwunday" and he can be the first passenger.
