think you can - on big tides you might get something in there

fishing around the mouth on the outgoing might be better

i used to walk there often and the locals were often fishing it for small stuff

they also liked lighting fires on the timber boardwalk

Wasting yr time in there mate I sometimes used to get bait there. But even that is scarce nowadays.

Might be a few u/size jacks and bream in there but no way I'd eat anything out of that water. .....Yuck .

Better spots around that area include the rocks to the left of the ski club or creeks either end of mindil. Or off the breakwall around Cullen bay.
Tight lines 'n' keep the shiny side up people.

Just had a fish kill in there as well. Like Matt said, better having a go at the mouth, some nice fish caught there at times.

went for a look this morning and was pretty void. a few small tarpon rolling and a few schools of baitable mullet in there. not much else going on though. went for a look at the mouth and looks like it would be a good spot after a big rain on a high tide with all the bait runnin out. probably better spots i could spent my time

I drove past near the top of a spring high tide a few weeks ago and saw quite a well known scooter based fella fishing there.....

I have fished there personally, lots of small barra and jacks, although recently as Melv said there was a fish kill, and saw a nice size barra doing the backstroke. Also NT Wombat, so Hiro was fishing there? Though he might be there judging from onr of his previous blog videos.
