Hey guys
I am heading out to Port Roper in 2 weeks and just wanted to know if there any of you had fished in this late in the year? My thinking is the Horse Barra will be moving out the front to start breeding. I usually do most of my fishing around Little Roper and have pulled some nice meter Barra out of there but it's the season of the million Dollar Barra and I think they will be moving to the salt haha so that's where I am heading .
I know the resources are limited there and that's not a problem, used to taking everything with me anyway, but I was wondering if it is worth taking the crab pots? Also I have heard there are som e massive Jew fish there and the odd Fingermark has been snagged along the creeks to the mouth of the Roper as well.
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated
TIA
Meter Man

first or second creek in from the mouth, north bank, seems to be where a lot of people do well, small tides best (for clear water) but very hard to pick the tides, they are seriously weird out there
