Until this year I have never had a Jewie taken by a shark but this is the 3rd one this year. Got it during a 3 day trip to Channel point, fishing a bit slow and not the size in the fish either.

Re: FFF FotoFish 2017 October Thread
My Bro was a mad keen fisho but his illness prevented him staying on the water for more than one tide .I always tried to get him out there before the change which often resulted in some good fish ,his passion was jewys
He has been suffering from a Supa Bug that he apparently contracted when he had a car accident in Brazil in 2000 ,17 years hes been in pain and fighting this mongrel infection that the so called eggspurts only just found a short time ago.
it wasnt bad enough that he was made a paraplegic from the accident
But only 6 months ago they removed part of his lung because this bug had been slowly eating away at his organs .He recently gave up the fight and he passed away on the 9/10/2017 2 days before my birthday.
One day when he was sitting up in bed at the Darwin hospital he said bro when i pass away i want some of my ashes sprinkled in the harbour on that wreck we fish . RIP Bro love you mate ,you may be gone from the earth but your soul will be with us foreever.
The photo below was our last trip together before he got to ill

Bro' scored a nice little Barra in the Harbour on Sunday. Launched at Middle Arm after waiting for the morning storm to pass. Too murky for any sight fishing so hit the gutters and ended up with seven Barra and a Flathead for the day.

Diamond Trevally caught on a VGDC Crab pattern on 8wt intermediate. Sight cast in less than a foot of water last Thursday on the bottom end of McLeur Island. Also cast to hundreds of Permit but unfortunately no luck in pinning one
