It doesn't help that these crocs are rewarded for approaching boats.Matt Flynn wrote:No tiny tinnies on the Adelaide, says croc operator ... http://www.news.com.au/national/norther ... a1b72476eb

Re: No tiny tinnies on the Adelaide
I used to worry about that as well but Ive been there many times and they don’t/wont come near me.
I was there once trying to get them to get close so I could get photos for the Jumping croc tours and they wouldn’t come over so i had to get in their boat to do the photos.
I still think they know the tour boats.
In fact, when they got their new boat, they took a fair while to get them to come over.
I think if i fell in or tried to feed them that would be a very different story

Fished there for many years in a 12 footer...no issues, just use your common sense and remain croc wise. Most of the time we were up at Beatrice and only ever had one encounter with a big croc but never felt worried give them the respect they deserve and you will be ok. No different to anywhere else. If a croc wants to eat you it wont be because of the tour boats feeding them.

Them crocs know the engine noise somehow, thats why each different tour company have their own crocs for the shows, croc wise ALLWAYS but more scared than anywhere else NO, I do think they either eat or scare the barra though cause success rate is low for me at that place lol
cheers Craig
Plus took my self and son to free croc feeding show one day and saved some $$ operator didnt seem to happy though!
