In short NO.

I had HDS 7 gen 2 before with gen 1 box and LSS2 transducer. IT was good.
Cost me two grand to up grade and although the resolution is slightly better i would say about $500 bucks worth better.

it is only new and i am still playing wit settings i was expecting a little more.
the unit is good and menu OK and pretty user friendly.

I did not buy it for the 3D capability heard it processed faster and gave better resolution. the 3d is fun to use when bored trolling but really is not that use full to me as yet.

I am not really disappointed and hope i can get more out of it the more i use it........i think the bigger size screens would be better.
