Well done bud . :applause:

Definitely is a good un also that mackie was a ripper too .. they are a worthy adversary at that size well done how long was the fight and what gear?

My sister got one in melville bay on her spin gear on 30 lb mono took an hour and we chased it all over the bay to land it . It went a bit over 1m she's well and truly over them after that torture test.

Sounds like a good trip nearly need to bring a chest freezer and genset for the haul tho...

Theres a genset and chest freezer at the accomodation. We didnt bring much fish back though. What we did bring back was quality - trout, goldies, chrome barra fillets and a couple of spanyards. If you head up there book the log cabin it has a fridge and a small chest freezer.

Caught out near North Goulburn Island on a halo rooster popper last week. I couldn't fit my Boga grips around the bottom lip.
There are definitely some big fish out there, just a matter of using the right gear and techniques to target them.
