Great weekend at shady

Post by balou »

Just got back from 2 days at shady. From the 2 boats in our group we landed easily over 25 big meter long threadfin. They were thick this weekend and everyone was nailing them . We got 3 Barra with the biggest of 96cm and a great Jew on the reef.

Witnessed 3 blokes cooling off by swimming in the sallows around that big rock at the end of the ramp. They were for 15 minutes and drove away in a Inpex Laonge Orouke ute. Crazy...

Also saw some drunk antics . A bloke backed his cruiser ute in that far the the water lapped the window. The drunk crew had no idea where the trailer was so the boat hit the trailer post. People falling out of the boat and rooster tailing the poor outboard. After 15 mins of swearing and missing the trailer they retrieve only to park where everyone spun around at the top of the ramp. It was quite entertaining and everyone was blind drunk only to drive home.

Great stuff Tran. I stopped off at the mouth of Sampan yesterday to grab 1 thready. Had to troll about 15 seconds. I also got stuck at the ramp for over an hour for some drunk bloke to firstly push in so the bloke before him couldn't drive out, then get the boat stuck on the trailer side ways. Then he had to get pulled out because his car wouldn't start

Saw a drunken mob pull a half cabin boat out of the Adelaide at Arnhem Hwy years ago. Must happen all the time, yet so few accidents ...

Funny how the threadies have made the big comeback since the nets were pulled out.

Hi there,

great fish, well done!

All that these drunks will do, is that the government will be sick of it, and impose an alcohol limit on people boating...

Have a good day,
Pecheur

Forgot to mention the big girl was released to fight another day...

It was absolutely disgusting to witness the amount of drunk idiots driving home after a big boozie day on the water. Don't give a duck if they kill themselve but don't put my life and others at risk.

Some great fish there Tran, good stuff
Need to try and get out there with the kids
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!
