AND.. I did not believe Crimson finches this time...FOOL...I

Post by Goat Island »

Yes My trusted Crimson's been 'hanging around' for a couple of months now. Very busy building nests then stopped and played around again. This repeated a couple of times with now more than 30 nests around buildings here. Most are in inaccessible spots
so when they stopped flying around 6/8 days ago I just did not take much notice. From my previous experience here.....They just don't start sitting until they know there is another trough coming. I have just checked the 1 nest I can use ladder to look into and yes Occupied. Magic wet season AND no water through bar... Yet any way and will not happen unless low/cyclone does a 'Tracey' and go SE. after Tiwie's. .

Most boats gets heaps of 'Rats' but also some good clean 55/75 baz. caught on turn of high and low tides.

All for now find writing hard as I have lost 'comma' + more due to sticking keys.

Kai.

Always like hearing what the finches are up to, cheers Kai.

Sounds like someone should drop off a new keyboard next time they go past!

Thanks for the update Kai, sounds like you are really one with nature out there. How do you think the river will fish this year?
