Decided last Thursday to head to Daly with a mate, packed the boat and headed off Friday morning, got to Wooliana and set up camp and went out Friday arvo for a cheeky flick. Went up to golden mile with not much luck. Light was fading so on our way back hit a little drain and after many casts mate had a 73 in the esky.
Next morning went up past Lizzy with every Creek having at least 3 boats hanging off them., went and sat out of Elliot and after an hour or so the colour change was right behind our boat. One after another all between 60 and 75, we had 14 landed in an hour or so! A few boats came and went with no luck. Best lures were vibes and classic hardbodies.
Sunday we packed up and didn't go too far as we had limited fuel on board. Found a drain close by and whist it was hard going managed another 5. Smaller rats but some 70cm+ fish in there too.
Ended up with 20 caught for the weekend. Pretty happy with that for such an impromptu trip!

Good going dudes, looks like a couple of good days on the water.
What was Browns like water wise?

Yeah it was the best session we've had. Only been up here for a year or so.
No dramas through browns at all. It's 2m at its lowest on the sand bar but if you avoid the rock bar area and stick in close-ish to the bank it was about 5m.
Water gets a bit turbulent around the 'S' bends when the tide is running out too.

Good work. Bugger if I can get a fish in the river this year. Not from the lack of trying. Just keep missing the good days to be there.

Looks like a great trip. That stretch from Hares to Elliot is good!
