Hydraulic trim tilt help.

Post by Heff »

Any help would be appreciated fellas. I have a slow leak on my yamaha tilt trim at the connection of the smalk pipe in black circle. Can i undo this? is it under pressure?can i use plumbers tape on the thread? Best way to fix it?
Whats the pipe called? Spare part number?
Cheers

Set the motor on the lock up tab and you will have no pressure on the ram.
If it is leaking through the fitting it may be loose as the pipe should have a double rolled flare on the end of it. Or is the pipe fractured. I would just try nipping it up tight first if the pipe is not fractured
The past is history, the future is mystery, the moment is a gift and that's why it's called the present
