Channel Island Barra?

Post by Reelemin »

Hi All

Heading to Channel Island launching from the boat ramp. Anyone have any tips around target species etc? Any info would be appreciated.

If its a bit dirty the 15A orange bellied one works better.
But a bit fragile compared to a strada. The both can't handle the heat up here so keep your trays out of the sun or they'll all end up bent and totally useless.

X walks n skitter pops are other standouts we've had good success on over the years. And they don't get overheated as easily.

Failing that a decent livie should trick the fussy ones.

Good luck hope this helps get you onto a few.

Try these spots.

We went out here the other day n the barra wouldn't touch any of our lures they were into the jelly prawns flat out.

O well that's fishing hey

We can't all be as good as some of the other blokes on the forum. That reckon they're legends. :D
