Headlamp

Post by balou »

I'm in the market for new headlamp, the old lenser 5(?) is MIA somewhere.

I done afew searches on here but it's a couple years out of date.

I thinking the lenser H14.2 350 lumens (100 on ebay) or the kor 840 lumens (on special for 40) .

Heard only good things about lenser but is anyone using the kor. In theory should be a sh.t load brighter with that many lumens.

Anywhere local that sell them at a good price?

Happy to hear other options.

Cheers

I picked up a new model H7 - ticks all the boxes. good light but the batts last for ages

You can get rechargable lensers too, don't know how long they last though.
My h7 seems to last a long time and is more then bright enough

The new H14 is terrific. If you're concerned about batteries, the new one has a control wheel to infinitely regulate brightness. Better on/off button position toi

I have used lensers since they came out and have been more than happy with the old H7 but they do seem to quit just when you don't need them to
Mainly wire or switch problems
I've just bought a Black Diamond STORM to see how it goes
Has a lot more features than the old H7 and this may be just more things to go wrong but only time will tell
I'm happy with it at the moment

Has anyone tried wolf eyes? Be interested to know what they're like.

I can recommend the LED LENSER H14.2 RECHARGEABLE

It's too bright sometimes u can spear cherabin with it no worries the pack lasts for hours recharges via usb port n u can put AAs in it too. I've got 2 H7s but since i bought this for my birthday i hardly use them. Its a bit heavier but you'll get used to it. Or you can put the extension in and carry the battery on your hip if it bothers you.
Buy some duracell pro cells from CNW electrical they will run a H7 out piggin for 3 nights my mate reckons as compared to 1 night on energizer or stock duracells from the shop.
also the E squared energizer is a good battery but a bit pricey thats what the army runs
Tight lines 'n' keep the shiny side up people.
