Anyone been doing any good on the whiting this season?
I was thinking of taking the kids out to Lee Point this weekend, we caught heaps there last year.

I have had the best results on peeled prawns on super light 2kg gear and a small running sinker, will be interested to see how you go

The whiting from lee point were small and few.
Went to rapid creek to fish the incoming tide with small lures and rubbers but with this wind it was to hard.
Changed up to a larger sized rubber so I could cast and got a barracuda and cod.
There were a couple of blokes chasing them on the shallows with bait but didn't see them get to much.
Might give them a go on the weekend when the tide picks up.

I did Lee Point on Sunday and got a big fat donut, it was too windy and the water was pretty rough and dirty, kids had a ball splashing around in the landlocked drains on the beach chasing hermit crabs.

I've always gotten quite a few while throwing the net for mullet at east point. Seen a few people fishing for them with bait and handlines
