Now 800+ NT fishing GPS marks

Post by Matt Flynn »

This card was updated in November 2022. The NT Fishing GPS Card was originally released in 2007, and is now up to Xtreme Version 10 in 2022

For more information follow this link ... http://www.fishfinderbooks.com/index.php?cPath=43

Posts below refer to older versions.

****

FISH FINDER TM has released a Northern Territory Fishing GPS Data Card with 660+ GPS marks for boaters and fishos. The waypoints can be uploaded to most GPS units in one go - this saves a vast amount of time compared with keying in co-ordinates one by one.

The waypoints include rockbars, reefs, wrecks, creek mouths, feeder creeks, "secret spots", boat ramps and more.

I bought one of these from BTC today. Chucked it in the Garmin and there are no files available to copy. Put it in the computer and the files are there. Any ideas?

For my Lowrance I went into the file directory until I found the correct file extensions then copied them. And then pasted them into my waypoints folder

I have the same problem jaks. Bought a brand new Garmin 95sv three weeks ago and ordered the SD card. When I go to install it says the card is empty. When I put in PC the Garmin file is there. Any help would be great.

Might be either the format of the file or the size of the card.

I got mine sorted. I put the card into the computer and pulled all the Garmin files out of the folder and put them on top and then hid all the other files in folders. I don't know if this makes sense or not but it seemed to work. There is also a Garmin program i downloaded onto the Mac so i can plot areas onto there, plug in the card and transfer them over easy enough. Cant remember the name at the moment cause im at work but its on the Garmin site i think.

I'm thinking about buying one of these, are they readily available in stock?? and would it be best to send to a Palmerston address or have it delivered to SW Qld. We should be up there by 4th July, wouldn't like to miss out on it arriving late to here.

Righto, I've got the card and now my units, Lowrance Hook reveal 9 & HDS live 12. I opened the card in the Hook unit & found many folders, none Lowrance specific.

I've read the posts I could find on here, they appear the be fairly outdated at present.

How do I find the files to transfer the marks in the Lowrance Hook reveal? What are the specific files called?

Any help appreciated.

You said you got it sorted in the other post? If all good I'll leave, it, otherwise I can find out - I have not used that particular unit.

Usually the .GPX file is the go-to file but some units/brands use proprietary file types.

If you are in Darwin all the tackle shops have it except BCF.
