2007 Barra Classic Invitations have been sent out

Post by Tamlin »

Hi,

The 2007 Barra Classic invitations have been sent out. For those skippers lucky enough to get an invitation I stress that there is an ever growing list of very high quality, keen anglers wanting to participate.

For those who did not get an invitation and/or who would dearly like to fish the event, I stress the importance of submitting a WRITTEN application to the Darwin Game fishing Club. ALL applications are reviewed by the Barra Classic committee, and If your application is up to scratch, then there is a chance that you could become a stand by team for someone who pulls out, or doesn't pay their deposit.

All applications should be sent to
Darwin Game Fishing Club
PO Box 41866
Casuarina NT 0811

Regards,
Tam

The option to purchase extra spools of line is an excellent idea  I have been advocating that the brand of line to be used is made common knowledge for a number of years now. It’s in the sponsors best interest if we, the competitors, purchase more of their product, after all that’s the bottom line of the sponsorship, generation of sales.

To use the old cliché; It's a win win situation  ; the anglers have sufficient line to spool up two, three or more reels  , the sponsor is happy, he’s sold a pile of fishing line.

I reckon they will be, the only way Cottie and his boys will miss out is if they aren't breathing

Hey Blinky, have you got the dates for the classic and the nationals?

Punter,
Classic dates are 9 -16 May. Only 51 sleeps to go :bonk:

Nationals would be two weeks before that; 22-29 April.
