Hi Guys
I've just received my mould of my 119 Barra. The fella (Glen) that did it is down in Newcastle and let me say it is by far the best job I've ever seen. He does them in fibreglass, and has heaps of different size moulds that he has collected over the years so you don't need to kill the fish. You can just order whatever size you want. The detail in my mould is excellent and anyone that sees it will agree they're awesome. Unfortunately photo's never do them justice as they tend to look a bit plastic.
Glen organised shipping and built a timber create to protect it during transit.
Glen has done heaps of different fish. My brother has a 1000lb Black Marlin head, a 35kg Jew and an 11kg Snapper. They all look awesome on the wall.
If anyone is interested I'm happy to pass on his number on an individual basis. If anyone is interested and wants to see mine I'm happy to show them, please pm me.
Chris.

Re: Fish Moulds
Out of curiosity, what's the price rang for a big barra mould?

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Re: Fish Moulds
Growing up in Newcastle Glenn Stewart has always had the reputation of producing the best taxidermy on the East coast. (Not to be confused by the taxidermist of the same name on the Gold Coast).
Plenty of pubs and tackle shops around these parts display his moulds and they're so lifelike the fish looks wet like it's fresh out of the water.
He would definitely be my first choice for fish mounts.
