I got sent this photo through social media today, you may have seen it?

Anyway,
The description was unclear, its obviously a type of snapper & i think caught in NZ.

Alot of people saying its a photoshop ?
One reason being the guys hands arent visable and it couldnt be held like that.

Thought id throw it up here and see what you guys think....

Photoshop or real....??

One hands in its gills and the other fingers are just visible near the anal fin. Looks legit
I've always said that I would like to catch a fish so big that everyone reckoned it was photoshopped!

Hes got his finger up the clacker of the fish

Real size pink snapper Hemi, we have got them close to that size but not as big nose hump.

Probably about 16-19kg

Looks legit. Have seen them a bit smaller with less lip and bump on head

Yer if you look closely where his hand is the Anil fin is actually bent out which is consistant with his hand position. I would say legit.

No idea if it's real, I'll just chuck in that it's an aussie snapper as the nz ones don't have the bump, nobody seems to know why

nice fish either way, if it's got the bump it's usually a nice fish

Definitely holding it forward to make it look bigger... Awesome fish though!

Ive been using Photoshop for a while now and if you do it well, its really hard to tell if any image is PS or not
It’s a pity because I never trust any picture that I see anymore knowing what can be done. If you get the original photo, you can see the 'layers' in the side bar of PS program
I cut a race car out the other day and it took me over an hour to get it right.

But my guess is that its legit because it would take a lot of time to get a pic that good in PS

Its a big fish either way

Legit I reckon, my uncle lives in whyalla SA and I've seen his pics before of pinkies around that size

Looks like a guy getting his photo taken with his arms crossed and a fish has jumped in front of the camera

if this is real, it's amazing!
