My new fish cleaning table

Post by Lats »

This has been a project that I have been working on for over 12 months. Sick of getting a sore back cleaning fish at home. The frame came from the wife's grand father. He used to make trailers on it. Top is some kind of hard wood flooring that was left in the shed when I bought my place. And it is VERY hard. Cost me maybe $300 in stuff. Thanks to Jeffish for advice on the top sealant. I have to do some tinkling with the plumbing but pretty much complete. There are a few imperfections but I am hardly an expert on any stage of completing it. Many many swear words may have been uttered. Hope you enjoy. I'm pretty happy with the outcome

Lucky I have so much lead to keep the top flat :D

And first fish to be cleaned on it is a 72cm goldie. That's another post 8)

Nice work looks great
ive been waiting a few years for a mate down south to make me one up in stainless next time he sends an order up this way, anyway still waiting so just rescued an old glass outdoor table which legs have rusted off which ive been using for the task but way to low, just made a treated timber pine frame to move it up to a decent height and cut away rusty legs.wife says too high she cant reach n 1st I have to catch something to use on it - cheeky cow, lol but pretty spot on.

Would submit photos but not worthy in comparison Lats

well done cheers Craig

Nice one Lats. Goes well with your tropical garden unlike the stainless steel one that I have. The benefit of the stainless is no rust and ease of cleaning of fish guts, frog and bird shite. I scored mine from a remote community dump after houses were getting stripped and revamped. Just needed a good angle grind, polish and disinfect and she came up sweet. Yours pisses all over mine for looks though. Well done!

My missus wants to buy me a GoPro...she said I need it... It's like a black box recorder for fishos...
