Buffalo creek

Post by Scott12345 »

What's it like fore queenies and other blue water fish heading out to the left of the ramp so towards the mouth a bit further? Live mullet or bait or just lures? How would you rig with livies?

Hi Scott, the beach side of the sand area can be ok for queenies with metal slices or live mullett. I haven't tried to far dwon to the left, however there is plenty of info in past posts, just do a search for buff creek and you will find heaps of info.

A mate on deployment from SA used to fish about a hundred meter out left of the last mangrove trees, last year when he was here. He would only use livies he caught and did very well with quennies and blue salmon. All were around the half meter size.

Second Cullen Bay for Queenies on the metal slice.

But live bait down at the mouth of Buff creek on low tide works too. It's a fair walk so make sure you leave early when the tide turns or you might be swimming back!
