I'll get the ball rolling. 79cms. Roper River. 2nd April. Can't remember the lure. Fishing was quiet, hence the 79cm entry. Hoping for an upgrade next week.
P.S. The paper is the 31st March, but was out of news agency range since then and okayed it with Matt.

On the board again, 2 months in a row, better than last years effort already 67 from shoal bay plenty around but they were hard to stay connected to, also some big threadies here and there dropped a good'un at the boat, just looked at the photo, the fish has slipped forward 5mm while I was taking the picture but it was an easy 67

Re: FFF Seadogs 2014 - Round 2 - The Greenwater
Hi there,
This is my first entry in the Seadog…
And it wasn't easy…
The fish is only 64 cm some of you might say, but to me, a Barra is a Barra!
So, where do we start?
First I will ask for your indulgence, We had a newspaper in the boat…
But it flew away on our way to the secret spot…
So when I got a fish we called Mud, and asked him if he could take a photo of the front page of the newspaper, of the day. And the day was yesterday 8 April 2014.
And to text me the pic so I could put my phone next to the fish for the pic for the Seadog…
Yes creativity was needed…
Any way, the fish was caught at Shoal Bay on a Junior B52, casting at the snag.
In very clear water, I saw the fish come from under, scoff the lure, turn around to try to swim away, and got the shock of his life…
So now come the pics, One of the fish on the brag mat, one of me holding it and as a special bonus, the pic of the lure down the Barra mouth.
A full report on the day will be posted on this forum very soon, as soon as I find the time to write it.
Life is a bit crazy at the moment, so it might be a few days.
Have a good day,
Pecheur

Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...

Aye, one paper a month is all that's needed.
Nice fish Regis!
Seano - what about the old landbased skills?

Had it too good now with a boat! Too much effort involved landbased- I'm lazy.Matt Flynn wrote:Aye, one paper a month is all that's needed.

100cm barra caught at the mouth of the McArthur River. This one was caught trolling a classic barra lure but we caught a bucket load of good fish on fly sight casting in the snags and flats as well. In total we got 60 barra for 6 days fishing with 8 of them going over 80cm.
She was tagged and released to fight another day along with nearly all our other fish.
Cheers
