Spent a couple of days out at shady over the neaps, trolled the mouths of sampan and tommycut for endless threadies and camped out the reef at night for jewies and snapper, all lures worked and didn't seem to matter too much on colour, stradas purple classics, gadens axe and green B52's and bombers, jellyfish were a pain but seem to group up so try and move away from them, mate Tim ended up with a nice chrome 97cm barra early on wednesday morning. Caught this at tommycut not sure what it is, looked similar to tailor that you'd catch down south. During the days we pulled into the first creek on the RHS for lunch to get some shade, just be aware of this cheeky croc living there,

Forgot to add the waters dropped right down at the ramp,still fairly solid/gravel bottom but will need to start launching with the tide, the fisrt bend is about shallowest at about 400 500mm

The unknown fish is locally known as a steelback salmon. Sort of a cross between a tailor and a blue salmon. They were in plague proportions over the last couple of days at shady....

Looks like a good trip Trent, good fill for the esky. Good to see Tim on to a nice Barra, Im heading out tomorrow for an overnighter hopefully be able to get out to the coastal creeks, be nice to get a few fish like yours last time.
