Taking the family down to Dundee downs bush resort Saturday night, was going to tow the boat and throw the pots in and maybe troll some likely spots mostly just a bit of fun with the kids. Its also a pre-curser for a weekend away with the boys down that way.

I have never been down that way, their site says the road is mostly bitumen with about 5kms of gravel and 5 mins to the boat ramp.

Has anyone been down that way recently? is it gun point road 2wd viable or is it actually 2wd viable?

Id normally go drive down their myself and have a look but its a very very long drive from Palmerston to check it out so i was wondering if anyone has any good input on the idea.

Easy drive bitumen passes the gate now . Maybe a km or so of dirt to the ramp. Bob was the guys name try's very hard to please he was selling but hope he is still there,haven't been down much this year only once in June good set up.

Nice place, not bad dirt road, good ramp, great access to Bynoe Harbour.
