Launched at Leaders a bit before the morning high neap. Started at a inner mark but the water was racing and dragging 3 sinkers. Moved to another mark not much flow at all ( I don't understand the currents). Young bloke started with a nice blue salmon, I got a few saddletail and stripeys and one line got snipped by teeth on the way up, but young blokes penn 850 reel start screaming. I called it a shark wound up the drag to save some line and a bit of hope to bust it off. Other guy helps him as I pull up other lines, the I hear "its a jewie". Panic sets it "get the net", I get the net but its not big enough so I go the gaff. At the end we drag a 104cm jewie into the boat. Not his biggest jewie but a very nice fish.
