Finally got the boat in the water and we hit the Harbour. The water temperature is getting nice and warm and the fish are moving around a bit.
We got caught in amongst a heap of small barra pushing up some bait fish in the shallows.
We just hooked small barra one after another.
I finally hooked a nice specimen which had me in and around the rocks before we got him to the net. 67cm of the Harbours best hit the floor and I sat back then and watched the deckie toil with the juvenile barra one after the other. We picked up a little jack on the turn of the tide also. He was sent back to the depths to grow up and give someone else some joy.
All in all a nice day on the water.

I used one of Shanes 35lb wind on leaders. As I tend to catch rocks hand over fist where I fish, having a leader that hangs in there is a must. I ping the jig head off most times which returns lure and leader back for some more fun. The leader worked a treat and took some hammering. A very good product Shane.

Cheers mate - glad they worked well for you - the 35lb ers are proving very popular for the flats and drains fishing - thanks for putting them to the test - good to hear you have been back out on the water - far batter than working all the time.
