I saw a man holding one on his open palm at Shelly bch in Manly years ago. I knocked it from him
He had NFI what it was and it was flashing. They are pretty little things

PS - do people get paid for pics like that?

yes, they are kinda cute - almost painless bite too I believe, then you snuff it

There are heaps up here, on the big spring low tide you will see the fisheries research guys down at channel island doing a survey of the rock holes.

The first recorded death from a Blue Ringed occy was in Darwin at East Point in the 50's.
