If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

Re: FFF Seadogs - Round 5 - Mackerel Maulers
Oh well, someones gotta do it and get a pic up, where are they all??
i'm sure there will be a few around this month and some big ones landed.
Here is a little one that I caught on the way back from Bathurst yesterday morning, stopped for a quick go on some ground out from Shoal Bay, missed a couple of bigger ones too dammit.
Might have to get out to Lee Point next weekend and see if I can get an upgrade , need some more Gar for bait anyway.

Ah yes, the wind ... that's one of the reasons why I was thinking it would be good to have a Mack-and-Barra round, a bit more flexibility ...
But then, from what I'm seeing coming out of Corroboree etc, it would have to be a Mack-and-Toga round
FFF Seadogs - Round 5 - Mackerel Maulers - Day 12 ... and the Mackies are winning

FFF Seadogs - Round 5 - Mackerel Maulers - Day 21
.... and at this rate it looks like Round 6 will be a Tuna AND Barra round ... too windy for bluewater (for most, anyway).

Come on Curt, Play fair. You have set me a challenge this year. To try and catch a mac on 7.6m tides with 15 knots of wind blowing constantly. What do ya reckon the chances are of getting one?
