691 fish divided by 183 anglers = 3.7 fish each.

There must have been anglers who caught more than 3.7 fish, particularly the top ten. I know that different length fish are worth different points but it would be interesting to see how many fish the individuals landed.

Makes you wonder how many competitors did not get anything except heat stroke and hangovers for their efforts and entry fee.

There were 4 teams (12 anglers) who caught absolutely zero, and a few more teams who scored well under 100 points
Thank heavens I moved to the Territory, everything I love is here!

Still sounds like better fishing than the 2010 Classic… that still haunts me.

Now how you feel NathanL - back about 10 years ago the total tally for the Nats was 307 or 308, in those days the Team "Gold Cans" (city gardens boys & buffalo) were dragging anything around 15 fish per day on their own. Take that out of the numbers and there wasnt much left for the other teams.

The fishing was very hard, the weather hot to the point people were going to bed early, although the first and last two nights made up for it.
Best thing I saw all week was the flyover by the 3 Hornets as they followed the river.
As for average numbers of fish per person. On the second last day out of 79 caught we got eight, although the biggest was only 57, only 100 points for eight fish, took just one decent fish to get more for the day.
