On Sunday I went out west for a toga fish with a couple of mates, for the most part of the day it was raining lightly which made the steep, muddy bank extremely slippery. It wasn't heavy enough to saturate us but it made sight casting the fish near impossible. We hit up a couple of different creeks before arriving at a new location I hadn't been to before, within minutes I had spotted a decent fish so I snuck behind some trees and dropped my lure infront of him. It was a special sight watching as the fish charged down my lure and belted it only metres from my feet. Over the course of the day we covered around 6-8km of steep and slippery mudbank which made for a slow journey, the rain cost us a lot of fish as we couldn't see them as we made our way along the waters edge. In between the showers we were rewarded with 12 saratoga between the 3 of us with Neil smashing me on the scoreboard right at the end with 3 fish from 3 casts. It was a great day out on the water despite getting wet and on the way home we finally got a glimpse of sunshine as it dropped behind the landscape. It was a nice encore to top off a great days fishing! For more pics and a detailed report check out this link NAUGHTY http://micksgonefishing.com/2013/04/08/ ... tting-wet/
