depends on th skipper.
" YOUTH is a GIFT "
"AGE is an ART "
"Doesn't mean you get any smarter..just wrinkled and cracked".

"No angler watches nature in a passive way...He enters into its very existence." (John Bailey...Reflections on a Waters Edge)

"Govern a Family as you would catch a small fish....Very Gently." (Chinese Proverb)

"Only those become weary of angling who bring nothing to it but the idea of catching fish." (Rafael Sabatini...1857-1950)

I pray that one day God sends me a fish so big that, when talking of it...I have no reason to lie.

At the moment I have canned the planned
2 day trip to the Perons, due in part to
the forcast 15-20knt winds but primarily
as I am still crook as a dog.Should
Saterday not look 2 bad I intend to head
out in that direction to give the boat a
run.My loose plan is to fish in front of
Bynoe and see what the wind does if it is
a bit blowy I will overnight in Tapa Bay
and try the shoals in the morning as well.I
will keep an I and ear out for you guys if
you like.Does your boat have a call

That sounds like a better plan AM,I fish Lorna a lot and the weather dose not look good this w/end.
Shark Hunter if you are out at lorna and it gets nasty head in close to bass reef it can be a "bit" calmer in there.
The fff mark you have is at the topend of the system I find fishing around the middle area working my way back towards Bass rf is better grounds ,there are some fff marks on Bass but you,ll do better on the outter edge where it drops off .
Be prepared to do battle with some BIG Lemons,,I only use 45lb leader so I can just snap them off, better than spending 15mins trying to get them up.We take sqid but change to fresh fish and shark when we get a few on board.
Good luck,,But in 10/15 knt winds Lorna is not the place to be,,,Although maybe????

Windy .... more lemons (heaps at perons and ford).... windy.... still crook.... did I mention windy. Plan B has potential too, just wait for a better weekend. Oh plus its forcast to be windy as well. If you only doing it for fun 15knts is the absolute limit of it being fun even in a bigger boat for me. Better not moan about the weather again too much otherwise Pete will be onto me about it.
I just got back two weeks ago from a cruise on a 160000 tonne cruise boat from Fremantle to Singapore via Thailand and Vietnam 14 days and nights travelling over 4000 NM and there was less than 2 days where it would have been uncomfortable following behind in my boat, ... and now it gets windy.

I won't be heading out until I finish footy so prob 6pm, if the weather is ordinary I'l prob hang round Charles patches or 6 mile for the night then head out in the morning.
Shark hunter is prob easiest call sign mate you?
Use to catching lemons, comes with the territory.
Cheers boy's, hopefully the weather is kind and I should see use out there.

Leviathan, give me a shout on VHF 10 as
you go past, might save you a drive if
you just want a snapper.

Headed to Lorna bout 6 in the morning on Sunday, wasn't a bad run there but the trip back took 3 hours haha wasn't worth the one Goldie and punishment on the boat.
Lesson learned.

Mate I bailed from any idea of Lorna as
we went around past the lighthouse.Did
you try us on the VHF although we were
still rubbing the sleep out of our eyes
in tapa bay and cooking up goldies for
breaky.Dont worry I got a bit of a
reminder wake up too, dont get impatient
just wait for the weather.
