Who is the rightful owner of the metre fish?
Who can claim the fish? Bellfish or Camfish.
You have heard both stories, and now it's up to you!
The loser has to remove his photo with the fish from all social networks.(well I can't make you, but it makes the poll sound more official)

Re: Who is the rightful owner of the metre fish?
Cheers doug, totally forgot about that. This is a pretty harmless poll, and might open discussion cause people seem to be in two minds about this one. I always thought it was pretty clear, the guy who pulls in the fish owns it! But maybe not!
If Matt has a issue I would be happy for it to be removed, however in the mean time, if I can please ask people to stay on track and not to attack either member this may help me not get kicked off the FFF. Lol
Cheers

Bellfish fish
If you are on your own boat and you have a heap of your rods in, whoever grabs the rod first owns the fish
Ditto - but you have 2 of your rods and 2 of a mates, don’t touch his rods.
Who cares about land based anyway joking

Pet goldfish on livebait-who cares? Last year when that other bloke caught a metre plus from one of the lakes (on a lure) he didn't claim to be in the metre club.

Agree whoever lands it claims it. But I reckon you don't grab your mates rod without their permission first. Maybe hold the rod for him until he gets to it.
Likewise if someone else hooks a fish and says "here you want this one?" and hands you the rod...can't claim the fish.
Had a mate on a guided boat once, guide hooked a metrey and said here take this...my mate refused to take the rod because he knew he would never hear the end of it. Turned out due to the arguing the fish got got off and no-one could claim it!

I remember that. And from memory the guy caught another metery the next day or a couple of days later.....EXACTLY the same size. Does anyone know if the Palmerston lakes are magical lakes?seano wrote:Pet goldfish on livebait-who cares? Its not a crisis unless there is blood around.
If there is blood around......well its a police matter...

Gotta be bellfish's fish i reckon.
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!
Especially when you can see them!

As disheartening as it may be, to put in all that effort for it to taken away, it doesn't sound like cam was close enough to be even able to take rod even if he wanted it.

Yeah they speak abit of poop, what fisherman doesn't to various degrees.
Get over your dislike for Camfish, and accept its a good barra, regardless of how and where it was caught.
If not, show us all your metreys??
