Hmmm. She gets a little rough, with a little breeze and an incoming. Few times in the past it was just safer to aim for the ramp.

Has that been fixed recently and this is new damage?
If its been like that for weeks the council needs a rocket.

I was out there taking storm pics a few weeks ago and a bloke fell into one of the gaps as he walked out. I shouldn’t have laughed but I couldn’t help myself. He fell down right next to the ‘hazard’ sign :bonk:

Think the ramp is owned by Dept Lands Planning and they obviously know since the sign is up. I saw it had first let go weeks ago and it progressively got worse. Had the one join been fixed back then it would be in one piece now. When one join goes the rest follow. Maybe they are waiting for parts from interstate. They did reengineer it a year or 2 ago when it fell apart and made it better but still not quite up to it. Palmy ramp pontoons are a bit more heavy duty. Hope they fix east arm ramp (hudson ck) as despite its problems its my favourite. Hope they fix the ramp lights while they are at it.

The ramp is a Nt govt owned asset and the dept of marine safety & transport is responsible for it

They were recently made aware of the problem and are waiting on parts from interstate.

Contact person is Brad Thompson 89247103 who said they rely on info from public so they can act on it
so lets get the info to the right person asap when it fails again and again

What a shame that it takes so long for them to fix it up.

Preventative maintenance scheme may help, change out the wear points regularly and it then should only come down to vandalism for faults

Went on the weekend and it was usable although with some warning tape that was easier enough to step over but still needs some repair work - was not there long enough to to worry about it

Cheers
