OK, the first month posting the 33 was a bit of a laugh - but i could have jinxed myself!!!

The only barra for the day!

But then the day did have a flat boat battery (but a pull start got us on the water), Mud stabbing himself in the toe with a nicely sharpened filleting knife, the previously mentioned boat battery that started out flat and then wouldn't accept a charge requiring the motor to run permanently or multiple pull starts, torrential rain, a flat trailer tyre, a nut holding the spare wheel on the trailer that was slightly larger than any tools that we were able to borow at the ramp (but which would have been a snap to undo with the giant shifter I carry in the other car!)........ did I forget anything?? Oh yeah - Gunn Point Road - which appeared to have been graded........from side to side.........with a giant cheese grater...........

I used to have a handle on life.......then it broke.

Hello all

61cm landbased at Roope's Bridge near Rocky.

Fishing alone so couldn't take photo of self. Took a background shot to show that it was definitely fishing off the edge of the road bridge. Best I could do.

Came out of the fresh.

Sorry to interrupt the sledging, but here it is, my biggest barra of 2013!! 8)

Only barra for the day, but there were plenty of tarpon about, as well as a saratoga.

Fish was taken on a miniature zerek live shrimp at MRBL

Also, :fubird: to the guys in the "Bleeding Mullet" in the background. What a bunch of rude, obnoxious, littering tools

There are fish in the Daly, but it is hard going

went for a trip down today, found a few following the mullet in with the first of the incoming, missed a couple of hits, oldfart had one have a go at his jwalker, we heard a big one boof, near a snag, just up from the little creek where we were, so i moved the boat a little closer.

smartypants shot the first cast right in the right spot, or so i thought, but nothing! mustv exited it though cause i fired a cast in the same spot, coupla quick jigs and it got slammed by this nice big girl
001 1.jpg
started off as an 85, called it a 95, then a metery,

004 1.jpg
dammit 96cm, couldn't even hold her out to make her look bigger, she was too heavy :)
006 1.jpg
was a great day with good company, just a pity we didnt get a few more.

always next time :)

Dammit :banghead: only 96cm, at least an upgrade from earlier in the month!! Reckon it will be hard to do better!

If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Hey guys,

Went out today and took the bosses mate out fishing from the east coast. Great tides great weather travelled to one of my serect spots and had one of the best days of catching big fish. smallest was 82cm and the biggest was 98cm which i thought it was a metery when it jumped out and guess who caught the big girl? the tourist LOL thought first trip and first time chasing the nt barra he was going to crack a meter. I only have 2 more days of fishing and game over back to Darwin!!! :cry

Already had one on the board on 12th March.

With all you guys filling the thread by raining compliments on Qld'ers, its understandable that fish posts can be easily overlooked.

Just for Mr Policeman (Jeffish) :

Landbased 73cm on a dropbear.
